The Need

Climate solutions are complex

From the Bay shoreline to Silicon Valley’s urban center, resilience requires coordination across jurisdictions, sectors and issue areas, including extreme heat, wildfire, and sea level rise

Funding falls short

Critical early-stage planning is underfunded while urgent public infrastructure projects are delayed by persistent funding gaps

Governments are stretched thin

As climate risks accelerate and federal support declines, cities and counties have limited capacity to meet the growing needs of Santa Clara County’s nearly 2 million people

No single entity or organization can solve the climate crisis alone

By organizing at the countywide scale, The Santa Clara County Climate Resilience Fund (Resilience Fund) is designed to support the mission of the Santa Clara County Climate Collaborative (SC4) in advancing climate resilience across the County by addressing critical funding and capacity gaps that limit the implementation of high-impact projects.
